Interest in App Inventor
Answer: As a Computer Science student who was a former Teaching Assistant for classes at my university, I love helping people build things with code. I believe that App Inventor makes creation accessible to everyone, especially the younger generation, and I want to contribute so that more students can discover the joy of making their own applications.
Interest in introductory programming
Answer: As a former teaching assistant for an introductory class at my university called Programming Fundamentals 1, I helped teach Python to 185 students. I helped them build problem-solving skills and guided them through projects and labs.
Proposed summer project
Answer: I would like to work on either Github workflow hooks or Learning Management System (LMS) Integrations.
Experience with the development tools
Answer: I use Git and GitHub every day in my internships and classes. At CVS Health, I worked with 22 engineers using pull requests and branch management. I also taught version control to students as a teaching assistant. My GitHub profile shows regular activity with over 240 contributions in the last two years, mostly from private repos. Experience with teams, online developer communities and large code bases
Answer: I worked with 22 engineers at CVS Health on a large app codebase using Git for pull requests and reviews. I also collaborated with 13 teaching assistants to teach over 500 students regarding common Software Engineering topics like Scrum or Agile, and I worked with 10 teaching assistants teaching over 185 students about Python and programming fundamentals. In internships, I built features with teams of 3 to 14 people. These experiences taught me how to communicate, share code, and solve problems together.
